I loved this book. I felt myself getting angry for Sophie when she is told to give up her dreams of becoming a doctor and finding a cure for the cancer that just took her mother's life. The reason she is given for forcing her into a different future are so far fetched that she believes her father's grief has pushed him over the edge. She is introduced into a world of vampires, witches, hunter angels, dream weavers, and so much more. This book is action packed with mystery, danger and romance. I really enjoyed this book. Ms Brumfiled has written an engrossing and intelligent book. The main character, Sophie, takes you on a trip thru her awakenings in her powers, her deep heart, and her love. Witches and Vampires make interesting bedfellows, nasty antagonists, and enough evil to fill my needs. Read this book! Yes, I am a male, and yes many of read these types of books. Love'em.
Gio and Sophie met at his night club the day she found out she was a witch. Gio was instantly b attracted to Sophie and she feels drawn to him as well. Only too save the town from some crazy God's wanting to get back home. And to finally realize, they are true mates. Which is a rare occasion. To mix a witch and a vampire has never happened before. But I think they will change it all
Jami Brumfield is an amazing author who brings you into a crazy world filled with witches vampires and mythical gods! You can't get any better! Sophie just wants to be normal when her world is turned upside down and she meets Gio. She is thrown into a world she doesn't want to be in. She wants normal. But what she gets is anything but normal. The romance she portrays in the book definitely makes you wish you had it! And the adventure makes you feel as though you are there. Definitely a must read!
Sophie didn't know she was a witch. When her mother dies she is already upset. Finding out she is a witch and is supposed to change her life really throws her for a loop. Then she meets Gio a vampire she is attracted to and things really go crazy. Sophie and Gio are amazing together.. This story is filled with magic and all sorts of paranormal creatures. This has a great plot and I definitely want to read the rest of this series.
Sophie finds out she is a witch doctor. Trying to drown her sorrows she sets foot in a bar owned by a vampire Prince, Gio. The town is full of supernatural who are descended from the Gods. The Gods wage war on the town in order to get back to their planet. Sophie seems to be standing in their way with Gio at her side. It was an interesting book.
This book opens with the cruelest moment. Sophie has returned for the death of her mother. She plans to return to med school until she finds out she is a witch doctor and has to take her mother's place. Everyone is so adamant that she remains and then they treat her awfully. This is a huge hurdle for the reader to get over. The romance is intriguing but the tension is so farfetched. The gods trying to get home attacking the town. The factions in the town are so hateful to each other.
The saving grace is Giovanni and Sophie rising above it all.
Jami Brumfield is another of my favorite Authors!. I have enjoyed reading many of her books. The storyline of this book is Spectacular!. The characters are amazing.

After her Mother passes away her Father drops the bomb shell shock that Sophie must now take her mother's place as the towns witch doctor. Him and her mothers friend tell her she must take her mothers place that Sophie's magic had been blocked till now. Sophie is so up set she heads out to a club in town to get a drink. Gio is the clubs owner and when he sees Sophie is is drawn to her. But before he can reach her a Nephilim (half Angel) Christopher grabs her and pulls her out of the club!. Gio follows them as he feels he must protect Sophie. As it turns out Christopher needs her healing help with his sister who had been attacked by a vampire!. But how can Sophie help him when she has not got her full powers yet!. Sophie is in store of a lot of surprises and life changes!.
You will love this stunning,suspenseful, exciting,funny, and amazing Romance!. It is a 5-star plus book!.
